A formal shirt without a visible button line down the chest. The placket is hidden — finta coperta — sewn behind the front, leaving the jacquard fabric to do all the talking. The only button in view is the jewel at the throat. It is quieter than a pleated front, more modern than a jacquard bib, and it reads as intentional from across a room.

Our 230 classic collar — cut slightly narrower than the 313 — opens the neckline cleanly for a tie of any width, or no tie at all. French cuff for cufflinks. The whole shirt is woven in jacquard — the pattern in the thread itself, not printed, not applied. Two-ply Italian cotton.

The shirt for the man who wants formal without theatrical. For the destination wedding in Capri. For the civil ceremony in a Milanese studio. For the private dinner the night before.

Five hand-finished construction steps. Mother-of-pearl interior buttons. Shifted sleeve. Made in Aielli, Abruzzo since 1956.

Part of our Wedding & Event Collection — available year-round. Express Delivery: dispatched within 24 hours.

Handmade in Aielli, Abruzzo.
