The 230 classic collar — neither too narrow nor too open — is the most quietly authoritative cut in the Cordone archive. Here it sits over a hidden placket, finta coperta, that runs down the chest with the buttons concealed behind the fabric. The only button in view is the jewel at the throat. Formal without theatrical, structured without ornament.

The cloth is our two-ply 100/2 twill: denser than poplin, with a diagonal weave that catches evening light as a low sheen rather than a hard reflection. The shirt has weight. It falls. It photographs like fabric, not like paper.

For the autumn wedding, the civil ceremony, the private dinner where a tuxedo would be too much and a knit too little. For the man who reads the dress code and then edits it by one degree.
